Finally have seen a doctor and I’ve got a fair amount of fluid on my lungs 🫁
Sweet joy, if the antibiotics don’t clear it up they will send me for a chest X-ray 🩻

I wish it were that easy at my surgery. 48hrs for a response and most times the response is a text that you can’t reply to and is most unhelpful, leaving you to have to go through the whole process again.
The portal is fine for non urgent

This is all leading towards an American privatisation style system where the rich are healthy and everyone else struggles.

You go to A&E, they put a plaster on you and tell you to call the GP and you start the whole process of texts and surveys all over again.

When you do see a GP, it’s never the same one, you have to spend the apt relaying your history and no time left to discuss your problem.
Our NHS is broken

Trying to see a medical professional in the UK is near on impossible.

You call the GP, the refer you to an online portal, you go through that process, they send you a message with an apt 4 weeks away.

You call the GP, they send you text survey, the nurse sends you a text with advice

It’s not necessarily my lungs I’m worried about, it’s my back. I’ve already pulled it so now coughing like I’m gonna pee myself 🤣 😣
