It’s intended for both. 1. Prevent stores from overcharging snap/ebt customers., 2. Prevent preferential treatment for snap/ebt customers. But vendors/stores can get a waiver for #2.

In the US seats are bought. Without the massive financial support of the two big parties it’s really hard to get the same coverage. Especially if you want to get into multiple local elections.

True. But the district system and electoral college, ie the winner takes all, prevent local parties from getting a foothold. If seats were divided according to ratio-of-votes alternative voices/parties could actually gain seats.

Interpretation of laws according to “the letter of the law” or “in the spirit of the law”. The rule is clearly written to prevent grocery stores from overcharging SNAP customers (spirit of the law). Now it’s being used to also preventing stores from charging SNAP customers less (letter of the law)

But then gun worshippers use the UK knife stabbing statistics as “See if they don’t have guns, they’ll use knives”. Gladly forgetting that in the US the number of knife attacks should’ve added to the number of shootings.

The average rading capability of US citizens is at k6 level (11-12yo).
People said they voted for Trump because he uses simple words. Translated: I am too stupid for any adult conversation, but I am allowed to vote.

“Then say natural gas”. Part of “gas” in Europe is not natural. Also gas refers to gaseous state af material. Gasoline, gasohol, petrol, benzine,… are all correct words for a liquid you pour into a car’s tank. “Gas” is not.

I don’t know how many were used to power the car, but I know that a Japanese Dormouse can run upside down at high speed, while suspended from branches. Maybe that’s why the Yaris is so fuel efficient?!
