I'd just like to think that there's a way that some of these people can grow and change. But I would never put the responsibility on trans people to educate her or be activley kind to her ect. but on the other side, I do think that being actively hateful towards someone is not the way to go either

Yeah, also true. Gah, idk if I'm explaining it very well. And comments with limited character counts aren't the best place to express these things 😅 obviously they've done damage, and need some sort of repercussion for that, I am absolutely not disputing that!!!

I just have some hope that some people will do more thinking about trans rights. My fear is that hate towards them is going to hurt the chances of that happening. But of course we need to consider the damage they're already doing by signing up to things, and brushing off important issues, absolutely

Personally I think we need to give keira a bit of room. If that interview was the first time she'd heard of it, then of course her answer isn't going to be great. I hope that she looks into it now, and I hope backlash about her answer isn't going to drive her away from being an ally
