The Canadian military first set foot in Afghanistan in early 2002. For Operation Athena, Phase Two, Canadian troops arrived in Kandahar in 2006. By the end of that combat mission, almost 40,000 CDN soldiers had been deployed to Afghanistan, a few even volunteering for up to five tours of duty.

Getting the impression that a lot of people think 1. Freedom of Speech is something you have a right to on privately owned social media platforms and 2. Conveniently stops after you’ve announced your opinion, but before anyone else is allowed to say it’s stupid.
