For the Shadow of the Colossus story, we interviewed 14 people including project leads Fumito Ueda and Kenji Kaido, hired Gravity Rush concept artist Takeshi Oga to illustrate the cover, and put together a 10,000-word story with help from @milkman.bsky.social @shmuplations.bsky.social and others.

I generally categorize my own videos into "pre" and "post" Half-Life Retrospective. Now, I'm realizing there was a really awkward phase after Half-Life and before Metroid Prime.

That said, it's been really fun to see just how far I've come. I'm not nearly as hard on myself about my mistakes.

I'm rewatching all of my Zelda videos in preparation for the Tears of the Kingdom one I've been working on. I don't think I had truly figured out my writing style until Ocarina.

It's really hard to revisit the Link's Awakening one in particular. I have no idea why I was so bitter about the remake.

Those remakes aren't doing the games enough justice, so the series is pretty much still dead to me. That, and Panzer Dragoon Saga is one of the best RPGs ever made, as far as I'm concerned.

Funnily enough, I would have been fine with the Associated Press doing revenue sharing with me since, as they claim, their journalists entitled to royalties. And I agree! Even though this constitutes fair use, I would have been okay with that.

But they disabled monetization outright, so...

It was a claim from the Associated Press in the UK. They are very strict about repurposing their reports and broadcasts, even in the context of fair use. I just didn't want to bother disputing it.

no yeah it's fine. sora 2 is fine. i actually love the fact that people can create virtually anything now in believable detail by typing in words. this is going to be great, especially without any regulations in place. this is exactly the world i hoped for when i was young and wanted to make art.
