From the 1960 Toronto Labour Yearbook piece - Housing in Toronto:
“It matters not one row of beans how many houses are being built or many many houses or flats are lying vacant. If they can not be sold or rented at a maximum price of 23% of income, they are too expensive.”

Cynthia Black is a leader in our community. Organizing with tenants in the High Park area against unfair rent hikes and rent price fixing. She knows the importance of having an MP you can trust.

With unpredictable rent hikes, unfair evictions, and LTB problems—understanding the law and knowing your rights is critical.
That’s why my team and I worked on Tenant Guide books with housing experts.
That’s the kind of proactive grassroots effort you can always count on me for.

Alright, first up today was Poilievre!
His announcement? A plan to reimburse cities for half of every dollar they cut in development charges (which fund new infrastructure for housing like sewers and roads)
This + ditching GST on new homes under 1.3 million = $115,000 saved per home, he claims.
