Better late than never for this Monday Question of the Week!

Looking back: What was the absolute best book (or article, comic, etc.) you read in September?

Tell us what blew you away! #BookSky 💙📚

Started a big one! The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt is an October selection for the Librarian's Husband's Book Club. To balance it out, I'm also planning to finish the thriller Run for Her Life by Ruhi Choudhary this weekend.
The book cover for The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. The cover is a simple, off-white background with a section torn away, like a sheet of paper. Through the tear, a small, faded image of a bird, the goldfinch, can be seen. The title and author's name are written on the white paper in a dark, slightly messy, hand-written font. The book cover for Run for Her Life: Zoe Storm Book 2 by Ruhi Choudhary. The title is in large white letters against a dark, misty forest background. A woman in a bright red coat and black pants is running away from the viewer down a dark, leaf-strewn path into the blue-tinged fog. The subtitle describes it as "A COMPLETELY GRIPPING AND HEART-STOPPING SERIAL KILLER THRILLER."

So happy to be supporting a local gem tonight! Headed to the Nowhere Bookshop in San Antonio. If you're looking for a new spot, seriously check this place out. #BookSky 💙📚
"A collage of five photos of Nowhere Bookshop. The top left photo shows a detailed, painted Nowhere Bookshop logo on a glass door. The top right shows the exterior storefront at dusk, with the sign reading NOWHERE BOOKSHOP. The middle right photo is an interior view of the spacious, well-lit bookstore with rows of shelves and people browsing. The bottom left is a close-up of a whimsical, ship-shaped chandelier hanging above the picture book and board book sections. The bottom right shows a seating area with a long counter, bar stools, and a densely covered gallery wall of framed photos and art."

If the media are the water, then social media is the jacuzzi — louder, hotter, and full of bubbles that make no sense.

Cheers to a great Monday night! 🍻 Enjoying a "Zeus Juice" Hazy IPA from Dos Sirenos in San Antonio, and "Run for Her Life" by Ruhi Choudhary. Highly recommend both! #BookSky 💙📚

Step 1: Get on plane. Step 2: Acquire tiny bag of pretzels. Step 3: Dive into "Run For Her Life" by Ruhi Choudhary. My flight entertainment is superior to all the tiny screens. #BookSky 💙📚

Book cover for "Run For Her Life, Zoe Storm Book 2" by Ruhi Choudhary. The image shows a woman with red hair, wearing a bright red coat and black pants, running down a dark, misty, dirt path through a forest of bare trees. The title, "RUN FOR HER LIFE," is in large white letters at the top, and the author's name, "RUHI CHOUDHARY," is in large red letters at the bottom. Forget best-seller lists. We want to know which author has the best moves! Inspired by a video of Clay McLeod Chapman - we're talking rhythm, moves, and stage presence. Stephen King? Rebecca F. Kuang? Margaret Atwood? All authors are fair game. #BookSky 💙📚

ICYMI: Jeffery Deaver & Isabella Maldonado’s The Grave Artist isn’t your usual serial-killer thriller. A “Honeymoon Killer” who makes art out of grief? Homeland Security meets psychological horror, and it’s relentless. #BookSky 💙📚

Goodnight, friends. That sound you heard was nothing. Probably. #SleepTight
A horror-themed image. On the left, a grayscale, close-up photo of a damaged, old-fashioned doll with dark eyes, sitting in a dimly lit corner. Overlaying the image in white and red script is the text of a horror joke: "A baby's laughter is one of the most beautiful sounds you will ever hear. Unless it's 3 AM, you're home alone, and you don't have a baby."
