Ya un article qui fait la différence entre les chercheurs étrangers aux US et les chercheurs américains aux US?
it is a great relief to see that the main @iza.org activities will proceed under @liser.lu (e.g. world of labour, wp series, summer schools, visiting programs). this is a couple of weeks old news, but many of us were still on vacation. newsroom.iza.org/en/archive/n...

Sometimes I send email without attachments, who has not done it?
But sometimes, as if the above was not enough, I go a step forward, and end them with an enthusiastic, aggressive "Cordially!"
Hi marvellous #econsky! I am new to PSID data. What variables shall I use to merge cross-year individual data to transition into adulthood data?
Are my wife and I the only people having an issue with chatgpt? I cannot scroll down the list of past chats in my project folder. I thought they were gone for good, but then my wife suggested to zoom out, and there they are!

This is due to language requirements and different tenure requirements (and different reference journals to publish in, with often a well defined catalogue whoch might exclude important journals). Mmost tenure track positions (ap's) are in domestic markets. 2/2
my take is that, although there is a european job market, most positions are still for domestic candidates only (i.e. there are many markets). 1/n
at the 10th time you wrote "novel," this word was not longer novel itself. synonyms might help
it is easy to keep in touch with your network as you are not asked to spend all your time phisically in Brno (e.g. 70%). when you will be on the job market, consider applying here if you see an opening. you ll develop your research agenda & have a concrete impact on a rapidly growing institute. 4/4
reasonable to no teaching (depending on contract), lots of flexibility, expanding network, great ppp salary and quality of life, funds (both competitive and not), regular MUES seminars w guests from all over europe. 3/4
btw, #econsky, it is great to be at @econmuni.bsky.social. in a landscape of decresing funds and increasing competition, consider applying here for future positions. 2/4
#YEM2025 was a blast, as usual. W keynotes @dkuebler.bsky.social & @neumarkecon.bsky.social. Great papers from participants & the best paper award to @juliaengel.bsky.social.
RePec and its rankings (e.g. departments, authors, institutes, journals) --but not only-- should get much more credit. Viva RePec! A great thank you for the great service to all the RePec people!
congratulations, and best of luck on the new professional adventure!
Over a few days, I have saved a few spare hours for myself. I have >1500 (mostly running) activities on Runkeeper since 2013. I guess I have to use Stata for a non-economic project.

it is still job market time, so that explains the job ads, but I agree that it is not as lively as econtwitter, in my opinion. There is less debate and less showing off of new pubs of working papers. This is just my very personal experience that I do not think is generalizable.
With a clear goal (e.g., go back to country x or move back to academia), it is easier to find the intersection between the set of outlets well rewarded in your current institute type/country and the set of outlets well rewarded in the institute type/country where you would like to end up. 5/5
You do not want your highly ranked pub in a management journal or in a cross-disciplinary journal or in a top-field economic journal COUNT ZERO when you move in a new place. 4/5
Try to find that intersection of publication requirements, so that your research output is transferable and counted across institutes and countries. Top journals are assessed positively everywhere, but any other journal not necessarily. 3/5
