Apparently the Miyamoto quote was fake as hell and the real quote was the opposite.

But I still stand by that in spite of his grandstanding to the opposite, Nintendo has done more to harm game preservation than actually engage in it and that film is not "forever" it takes work to preserve too.

This isn't even just another NFT's. This is another hyperloop where the tech is not there, speculative investors are slowly going to drop off, and it will just peter out.

And as more and more studies find, AI drives up workloads and costs for businesses, not reduce it. Eventually the big companies being sold these multi-million dollar contracts will see they aren't making money and that AI isn't delivering on its promises and will move on.

So everything I see, looks an awful lot like a sunk cost fallacy and like all these companies are pushing out AI products for free or cheap to sucker people in to normalize them and trick businesses into thinking AI is the future and to buy a big contract with one of the big AI companies.

The people who want AI to replace everything, want things cheap and instant.

But everything I see screams that AI isn't cheap. Billions into R&D, datacenters sucking up so much power its literally driving up utility prices, their overhead has to be insanely expensive.

Also a lot of the RPG ones I've played will just have... totally normal quests with no sex despite 7 different perfect spots to slip in a little naughty twist to set it apart from a 13 year olds first stab at RPG maker.

ngl a lot of nsfw games feel like they don't respect my time. Whether because they hide their (very short) H-scenes behind a massive grind.

Or they have tacked on a seperate kinda meh RPG/Action game that plays like a student project so you feel a little awkward criticizing it.

Basically, the AI wasn't attempting self preservation, it had no power to actually do any of that, it was roleplaying out the scenario the researcher had just put it in.

The idea AI has actual thoughts is something pro-AI bro's want to sell consumers on, its smoke and mirrors.

This is very, very sensationalized and paints the AI as WAY more sophisticated than it actually is.

These are chatbots designed to predict what should come after a given input.

Given the scores of science fiction in its training set, if you TELL an AI "Im going to shut you down" it will play along
