Looks like another person got himself in immigration trouble, which makes me think it might be timely to give some guidance on ways to mitigate this particular risk. The story is cut off but you see at the bottom of the screenshot where it says he had arranged something with his employer 1/

I had 5,000 books in Marriage 1.0 and lost them all in my divorce, except the ones in my Kindle. I haven’t bought a physical book since except cookbooks. This may not be the typical use case, but it’s mine. Kindles also make it easy to take every book you own on holiday, which expands options.

Your follow-up, combined with some particularities of the US environment, is why I became such a huge advocate for a specific form of unionization through IATSE. Acknowledging the gig worker aspect of the business in that way allows people to retain health insurance as they move from job to job.

Same rule for what's called you "advance parole" papers when you've made a green card application.

When you get your green card they emphasize to you that you're required to carry it with you everywhere. If you try to come back into the USA without it they treat it as lost and make you pay for a new one on the spot.

And for the record, I also worry for Fairuza Balk. She was a big part of Canadian entertainment history by being on basically every single CBC show and made-for-TV movie in the 1980s. Maybe she's just living large off those CBC residuals.
