The danger here in SF is the areas they are likely to target are both downtown AND people live there. Narrow, densely packed, easy for a lot of escalation and casualties.

Our reputation is a bunch of dumb hippies, but it’s gonna look more like the antifa terror Fox News dreams of.

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to come across saying the whole thing is just symbolic. I’m saying the target cities are symbolic. The harm is extremely real. “Clearing” the apartment building was the most literal Nazi shit they’ve done. The only thing missing was cattle cars.

True, but it seems they started with the inner burbs and then moved in. The Bay Area is very broken by geography (the bay, mountains, and 110 jurisdictions total), so I don’t know if they’d try the same way.

But like Chicago & Portland, they’re focused on the city proper as a symbol, not reality.

You cannot underestimate how ugly things will be in SF if Trump sends troops. There’s a reason they’re sticking to the areas around Chicago, not city center.
