Thank you Cindy 😊, my initial prompts were more psychedelic than surreal, then I brainstormed a bit with ChatGPT and eventually after multiple fails with a different prompt using my usual generators, gave Gemini a go. It pretty much nailed it, except some fish we're meant to go through the holes.

Thank you 😊, I was getting nowhere with the surrealist prompt, but as a last resort I threw it at Gemini. It didn't get the fish swimming through the "holes" but, nothing else did either. It got the clocks right though and yes, the Salvador Dali aesthetic was in the description.
