Unless the green or brown smells fruity and musty... theeen you gotta toss that potato! :)
Short answer: Yes, it's probably fine.

Longer answer: Most brown spots on potatoes are in no way harmful or dangerous, but they may change the flavor and texture unpleasantly. So, you may want to remove them anyway.

Ever wanted to just like... mash a cake into a fine paste with your bare hands? Ever wanted to go IN on some raw ground beef, salmonella be damned?

WELL. This lets you do BOTH of those things! lol

Seriously though, it looks suuuuper realistic.

I... I don't know how to feel about this. But I DO want to try them...
I admit, I feel some sort of... bafflement when I see someone put raw chicken directly into their cart. No bag, nothing. Just... raw-doggin' the chicken right on top of their veggies.

I've been so well trained by my upbringing on this, I cannot imagine not begging it!

Scratched dishes are kinda unavoidable, especially if they're light-colored. However, there's actually a way to make them look better, and you might have what you need in your kitchen right now.

Add a carrot or potato to your oil during deep frying to help keep blackened bits off your food. Yes, really! This method has been used for literally hundreds of years, so don't knock it until you try it.

I bet you thought that the first BBQ meat of the United States was mostly beef and chicken, right?
Not so!
Would you believe that GOAT was one of the earliest BBQ offerings? So... why don't we see it on menus anymore?

You're right! Most of the time, as with Lea & Perrins, it's Anchovies so it's not vege friendly.
HOWEVER.
If you really want to use it, there's a few vegan options that are quite good! This is the only one I can openly recommend tho, since I know what's in it:

Alright, cue the arguing! lol
I'll die on this hill if I really must. Sourdough bread (and I mean GOOD sourdough, not the vinegar white bread sourfaux) is the best for grilled cheese. It just is.

Halloween has been around in some form for hundreds of years, but candy being part of it is really only about a 100 year old tradition. Before that, it was all about the apples, baby!

Also it is my birthday today. :)

Big news for bacon lovers! lol. Hot honey really is the food of the moment, and Smithfield's caught onto that at just the right time.

Buuuuut if you'd rather make your own hot honey bacon...

Sometimes, life is a jerk, the world is on fire and sucks, and I feel helpless and sad. Then I remember I am capable of making bananas foster, and then I feel a little more ok again. :)

Plants can be such fickle things, no matter how we try to show them love, lol.
These are so insanely cute, great job. People at work better have given you ALL the compliments!
I know it's not summer anymore, but that doesn't mean you can't have a little fun with a frozen beverage. If you like lemonade, you'll definitely like this too.

(please drink it in my honor, I can no longer have lemon and I miss it so!!!)

This is important. I didn't write it, not claiming that, but oh my goodness is this important to know.
my latest investigation for @consumerreports.org is based on months of reporting and 60+ lab tests of leading protein supplements

we found that most protein powders and shakes have more lead in one serving than our experts say is safe to have in a day (🧵)

Protein Powders and Shakes Contain High Levels of Lead - Consumer Reports
CR tests of 23 popular protein powders and shakes found that most contain high levels of lead.

Thank you for sharing this information with the world. I have passed this along to friends I care about, and a few of them were taking powders mentioned in the report. This matters. Thank you again.
I don't remember precisely which of my cooking relatives told me to start adding Worcestershire to tomato sauces, but I've never gone back. Just a little dash is all it really need.

On a related note, how do YOU say Worcestershire? (My family always said "Wersh-ster")

THANK you. A lot of people think that's some sort of crime. Then again, I also dip my grilled cheese in Ketchup, so I suppose I'm doomed for grilled cheese ridicule either way, lol.
Call it blasphemy, but I stand by sliced apple in grilled cheese. a Blapple grilled cheese on sourdough is one of my favorite things to treat myself with (bleu cheese, cheddar cheese, very thin slices of green apples).

Don't knock it till you try it!!
