if i've learned one thing from doing union stuff while also doing other forms of organizing, it's that you're better off with people you disagree with who are nevertheless trying to do the same thing as you than with people you agree with who aren't trying to do anything

They'd rather be able to dunk on conservatives and high five each other than actually take the time and critical lens to what they're saying, because as far as they're concerned, they stand for the "right" things.

2) Mainstream progressives are largely white coded, culturally, and they are too concerned with superficial niceness and politeness to actually dig into the messy conversations, and largely unable to take any kind of criticism or self-reflect.

there is a lot to unpack with mainstream progressive mentality, but what I think, in this moment, what it boils down to is really two general reasons:
