Starting on Monday I believe lol. Tbf it's changed hands like 6 times since ~2018 and been worth exponentially less money each time, so I'm not exactly *surprised* they're desperate to shake some more coins out of maybe the least profitable website of all time, but boy it sure is sad to watch innit

Tumblr forcing ads on even the desktop/custom theme versions of people's blogs with A) NO ad moderation at all, they're basically all AI porn ads, B) no curation by blog owners for what ads can be shown, and C) no cut of revenue for bloggers, when the site is so dead it's worth $3 is incredible man

I refuse to allow them to put camouflaged ad posts next to my art to mislead people into thinking they're posts I reblogged intentionally and thus endorse their subscription to fucking. Adult Choose chatbot AI porn sites. Absolutely incredible thought process in the truest sense of the word
