Each item in the Shop has a different Gold-per-Charm (GpC) cost. Ew.

The ones I tested cost 1.2–1.5 GpC.

Buying Scrolls is a better deal, if you assume a 50% WR (~27.4 Charms per Scroll):

7 Scrolls for 100G = 0.52 GpC
1 Scroll for 20G = 0.73 GpC

Scroll regen cap is 9.

Don’t claim Scrolls from the Pass tracks unless you’re at zero and want to play.

Turns out the regen cap for Scrolls was changed to 9 (booo).

If you want to maximize your Scroll regeneration, you should get down to 5 or lower so it can regen to 9 every 8 hours.

Also, wait until you have very few Scrolls to claim any from the Passes.

w/ borders except Green Glyphs (which are unlimited), it costs 33,130.

With a 50% win rate and full Scroll usage:
• Free can expect 5,039 Charms
• Premium can expect 7,989

You cannot buy out the shop w/o buying extra Scrolls/Charms.

The shop also includes 3 Variants via Portal Pull for 800 Charms each.

Plus a section that rotates every 8 hours. The Scrolls are a good deal (but ONLY if you need them).

Win or lose, you get Charms equal to your points each game.

Opponent retreats should give you 16 Charms (they did in Showdown 2).

Based on 439 observed games, I assume 18.3 Charms per win, and 9.2 per loss.

Finally, here are details for the Shop, where you spend Charms.

You get the new card (The Hunger) at 2k XP. The Passes end at 4k.

These tables show how many games/Scrolls you’ll need. Notice the HUGE difference between Free and Premium.

Premium has a very funny 9-step(!) chain reaction that takes you straight from 740 Charms to 5,540.

The Premium Pass costs 800 Gold (~$10 USD).

The objective value of the Premium Pass is… ✨bad ✨. We’re talkin’, 1.04x. If it were a bundle, I’d say skip it unless you love the cosmetics.

But it’s not just a bundle. It includes MASSIVE savings for your time and sanity.

This time, Showdown’s economy is working just like Grand Arena’s. There are Free and Premium Pass tracks, plus a shop.

The Passes technically give rewards based on XP, but as far as I can tell, Charms = XP at a 1:1 rate. The point is, you don’t spend your XP.
