I miss when they called themselves Teabaggers.
The view from my front porch never stops being interesting.
Potomac, Maryland, about 1984.
Joseph playing a trick on his brothers (Genesis 42:1–28) is a Black Moment. Fight me.
In a dystopian twist, Patreon blocked a post of mine for "violating community guidelines." I checked, and that's a chapter that doesn't even have any adult content in it. Just some plot.
(Sounds of gears grinding in my autistic brain as I think how to speak to a deaf person). I take and pat her extended hand, look an inquiry.

"Oh! I can't see. It's dark in here. My bag is black."

Spouse and I put our phones in flashlight mode until she has her bag. She thanks us.

Still in tears.
Left the house today. Doc appt. Return to the car was partially blocked by the open door of a large SUV. A little old lady was rummaging in the back seat. For a while.

I ask, "Do you need a hand?"

No response. She's deaf.

I cup hands and shout. She starts.

"Am I in your way?"
I only just read this. It was adorable. Also, literate with worldbuilding (i.e. research into real-world language, history and customs) that would put many a doorstopper-writing fantasy author to shame.
It gets turned on at every update, sadly.
I'm afraid to install the latest update; the one thing that might save me is that my primary writing machine is a 2020 Intel iMac.

There are unhappy people on r/scrivener being rescued from Apple Intelligence Stupidity as we speak.
Today's wtfery: people saying "If the government is shut down, how come I have a parking ticket?"
If you're a writer with a Patreon, you're supposed to post about it on social media, right? What if your Patreon is marked 18+? Do you get a nice preview of your chapter when you post a link? Apparently not anymore?

I'll hazard a guess that your fury is accountable and, indeed, the only logical and sane reaction to the world right now.

I keep telling myself this in hopes it sinks in.
Feeling depressed, irritable and hopeless is a completely reasonable response to the state of reality.
Really? Well, I'm just going to have to wait and see what happens to that afghan I made my in laws in 200 years.
Every subculture has its hot button topics.
Fiber production is a dirty business. Almost as dirty as food production. Greenwashing of wool brands is common. People were assuming I'm using acrylic if not wool, and plastic is the death of the planet!!!!!!!
Well, let's hope that there is nothing to all the studies establishing correlation between when we stopped taking aspirin because we thought it caused Reye's syndrome and the onset of the autism epidemic. Wishful thinking is the best medicine.
What, did they just decide that low dose aspirin isn't safe?
"Numerous well-designed studies have indicated that pregnant mothers exposed to acetaminophen have children diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs), including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),
You know what's really funny? About nine years ago I started reading up on CBD and autism, and found, as an aside in a complex pharmacology whitepaper, a statement that "everyone knows that acetaminophen is a factor in the autism epidemic."
We'll never sort it out at this point, though.
The most downvotes I ever got on reddit were when I said in a knitting sub that I don't use wool.
