Well I started with a second hand trousers pattern (Style 4968) and adapted it. Got some inspiration from mood fabrics www.moodfabrics.com/blog/the-nov... and other ideas from Pinterest.

Big comfy alternative trousers. One of my favourite things I've made. Pleats at the front, elastic for comfort at the back. A cargo pocket on one side, a back pocket and strap on the other, and elasticated cuffs. #garmentsewing #sewing

I then used elestic to marry the top with the skirt, but it got messy before it got half way decent and in the end is pretty warped.

Mainly, it was gathering the skirt that tripped me up. I went off script as I usually do, used strechy fabric instead of a cotton and removed the zip. Was aiming for comfort.

Made a cardigan for my mums birthday, sewn from a beautiful weaved fabric. Haven't added fastenings yet, not sure if I should do button and button holes or something else... #sewing #garmentsewing
