We have to get organised. I really saw how the "Save Māori Wards" campaign worked in Palmerston North. The secret is not so much to change people's minds, but to get everyone registered and voting.

You walk into the classroom. The teenagers stand up and greet you, smiling, not because you asked them to, but just out of pure respect.There is a lively focussed discussion on the topic and they begin individual work in silence. All marking is up to date; you take out your novel.

I agree. He's clearly planned to use NZ as a bolt hole. How much is he interfering in NZ politics? Is he planning to establish a Curtis-Yarvin-type tech monarchy here? I don't like his chances all the same. He's quite mad.

As an ex-secondary teacher, may I point out that the teachers do not run the exams. An independent person with non-teaching staff run the exams. We have nothing to do with public exams and neither we should. We've done our job; it's a perfect time to strike. Teachers are giving up own time.
