-because it's different in a few ways from previous pages for me, technique-wise. I was curious if it looks this way when reading it, or if it looked more or less similar to the pages so far!

-whether or not to include or omit that additional rim lighting. In the end, I did a bit of a compromise between both. (Still there, but emphasizing a few areas it seemed to add, and omitting them from where they seemed to detract.)

-the glow in their eyes more? But I also liked it because it made the linework more apparent, I think, too! (As I continue with the comic, I'm finding I'm really enjoying add more to the linework stage with each page - and I think the pages are improved by this.)

Aw, I hope you feel better soon! I changed the colors a bit here from what I originally had - I actually ended up reducing some of the colors (there was mainly more rim lighting, originally). Oddly, I thought this made the pages colors more coherent, this time. Maybe this ends up emphasizing-

Turned out incredible! So many details to admire, one of my favorites is how you painted the petals which line the ground. The considered way you painted them reminds me of the texture of holding a petal - the weightiness of it, the satin, waxy-like sheen some of them have. Adds presence! :)

Aw thanks! That style of hand is something I've been wanting to try and nail down, I'm not certain whether it is anatomically correct either (it probably isn't), but I was going for a type of expressiveness I'm partial to :D

Oh I haven't used Pinterest, I didn't know they went through similar! The main site I remember this happening to was Tumblr some years ago - they became pretty infamous for flagging very obviously SFW images. Sad to see we're still dealing with this censorship years later D:

My "infernis" is carried over from my tiefling I created for my friend's practice DnD campaign - the one I did this sketch for: bsky.app/profile/land...

I'm a bit tickled by how similar the character archetypes are in these games; visually, his infernis incarnation is nearly identical to tiefling.

Friend asked if I wanted to join her DnD game and said to think of a character+class beforehand. Tried sketching to help me decide - chose tiefling, still deciding class (hence the bare outfit)

Leaning toward wizard enchanter/illusionist, or should I make another necromancer haha

Friend wants to try a practice Daggerheart campaign - this is half-Infernis design and half-anatomy construction practice from imagination (please forgive errors)

I'm sorry he's always shirtless when I draw him, haha - if he's starting at lvl 1, he can't look too fancy!

(It's hopefully fairly clear I'm being facetious, haha. Overpaintings of older drawings are incredibly fun, in an oddly satisfying way - though wildly inefficient. Only something I can really justify doing in personal art with no deadlines. A small indulgence!)

One more overpainting of an older drawing, but this changed pretty drastically from the initial concept. Redrew the face, and I'll probably do the same with the hand (one might argue I should just start a new drawing, but I like to suffer)

Ahh thanks Silv! Expressions have been something I haven't practiced as much as I probably should have before, it's motivating hear they appeal to you on these pages!
