Social Security still has plenty of money. There’s nothing wrong with the government borrowing from Social Security. Social Security funds have to be invested somewhere; I’d rather it be in government debt than in the stock market. The government always pays back, with interest.

Social Security isn’t an investment program, it’s an insurance program. It’s insurance against private investments going bust. It has worked great for 90 years.
