i was terrified at first. many times when ppl came up to me did i just quickly log out to avoid them. but with time, i slowly started talking with them. even if it was just a "ty" or other few word responses... and now i'm actually making friends in the game. i'm playing with others with zero fear.

but then when i started the free trial, things changed. i did still mostly do stuff by myself, a lot of duty support and solo-activites. but ppl kept coming up to me, wishing me well and wanting to talk about my experience as a sprout and tell me how pretty law is.

god... lowkey tearing up at the fact that i was genuinely so anxious before ffxiv. i never talked to anyone, always kept to myself... i didn't want friends bc even the slightest interaction would overwhelm and drain me. i was so unknowingly miserable in my loneliness.
