Mirdametinib reduced fear responses & ERK phosphorylation in the amygdala. When combined with DCS+ prediction error, it even disrupted stronger memories. This offers hope: traumatic memories may not be forever. With the right tools/timing, they can be rewritten. #Trauma #PTSD

Raut et al. (2024) used Actimetrics' FreezeFrame & Fear Conditioning Chambers to show reactivating a fear memory + giving the MEK inhibitor mirdametinib could weaken traumatic memory.
