I’m not a news source, I post about life. My only socials (LinkedIn doesn’t count, silly). If you’re combative, I’ll block you. You’ll be fine. I’m simply not interested in in-fighting. I’m interested in collective efforts.

Been re-watching GoT bc it’s fun to heckle (not the torture parts though, I skip past those. Once with the “oh no!” hand up was enough).

You know when people talk about all the wild shit the Mad King did? There are parallels. Just sayin’.
Nothing they do is surprising or unique so repeating it is just more of the same. I’m more interested in moving ahead without them. With our success they’ll benefit regardless so their opinions don’t factor into my approach, much like they couldn’t give 2 shts about mine, or yours, or ~7M others.
Thats a real #fckthemkids message you brought to the table, Robin.

Factoring in the universal application of the removal of those benefits, then consider all of the children who will go hungry, the whole fafo comes off callous and tone deaf.
Complaining without action is just ego masturbation. You wanna look like you’re doing something, but you don’t actually want to do the work.

It doesn’t have to be a lot, but it should be something, no?
OK and what are doing to offset these things? Are you asking them in their comment sections to cite their sources provide evidence of their claims?
And posting this comment was helpful how? What input of substance have you added to the conversation?
Sending a limp noodle into a war zone.

I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.
+ canceling SNAP benefits Nov 1 so remember that when you’re voting Nov 4.
Think back to November 2, 2024 . Remember how you used to have a hospital nearby, food in your cupboard, a job to cover your bills, and didn’t live in fear that you/your neighbors were going to be kidnapped off the street.
Trump is screwing his voters so badly:

*tariffs wrecking soybean markets abroad
*Medicaid cuts killing rural hospitals
*ACA subsidies lapsing for working class
*ICE decimating ag workforce
*farmers furious at Argentine beef imports

On the pod, we dig into all of it:

Trump Is Screwing His Voters So Badly That It Shocked This MAGA Farmer
As Trump’s bizarre idea to control soaring prices backfires with farmers, a Democratic organizer in rural areas explains how badly Trump is hammering his own supporters—and why it gives Democrats an o...

Fuck you.

Using sex work as shorthand for classy or trashy or morally repugnant or whatever this is supposed to be puts you more in line with the current administration than it does his opposition.
Trump already made the Oval Office look like a movie-set whorehouse; imagine the White House ballroom he’s building.

Money doesn’t buy class.
*shakes your hand* heartily agree.
While I don’t disagree, in theory, I do give very little credibility to him that the “donations” to cover the cost won’t go directly to serve his own personal interests.
(Facepalm directed at AP, not you. AP is being real weird here)
Because they managed to make it about Otani, even though it’s about the Blue Jays. 🤦🏼‍♀️
May any of the gods grant me a seat at dude’s poker table. He’s all bluster and tells. We’d clean up, if we make it out alive.
If those contractors get shafted on the bills, that’s a known risk they took when they agreed to work with him. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Not a brag or anything, but someone had to tell me about the AWS outage today because nothing I do or have depends on it.

I think the universe may have provided me a smell test of my personal usage by the “hard pass on Bezos shit” and I’m good!
This has 2002 Maxim magazine vibes where shaming sex workers was like a thing done for laffs.
It’s 2025 and that c*nt has done
heinous shit/what she used to do to survive is irrelevant despite the screeches from terrible men.

“That hateful bitch what to my Rose Garden” as a caption tho? accurate

If you're a writer/other creator in the United States, consider creating an LLC for your business and then signing up for a local area Chamber of Commerce. Many of them have health insurance plans that pool their members and members of other CoCs to create insurance efficiencies relative to ACA.
It’s not her appearance, which is repugnant, it is the personality beneath the appearance.

As a sagging ol’ lady myself, I can testify that there are a number of people of all ages and shapes who are all about it.
I have booked travel professionally for almost 20 years and never once have I ever heard someone say “I would go visit that city, but they have a safe injection site soooo hard pass”.

If anything, it is an indicator that the city council actually gives a shit about the people who live there.
Of course, because blaming a reasonable reaction to one’s unreasonable actions is the way of his people
Smug denial is so 2024. 😎

Unsolicited writing advice: no. 8075: There is no such thing as serious writing. There are only writers who take their work seriously, and those who don’t. Tragedy is no more “serious” than comedy. Children’s writing is no less “serious” than writing for adults. Good writing is wherever you find it.
I peopled way too much the past few days so took Sunday as a refill day.

Re-started Games of Thrones and working on this paint by numbers to hang in the fellas house.

How it started.
How it’s going.
