So some of them must have worked out how to join the necessary bits to the necessary bobs, so to speak…
Ok. I’ve got a great big stone which needs to be dug out, hopefully before Xmas so I can enjoy them eating & drinking & making new ones!
And so important. The quality of a sound is what drives my daughter’s interest in music I think. Also in trains β€œjust listen to that engine” she’ll say to me. She’s autistic & sensory experience is a centre of pleasure and discomfort in equal measure for her.
Good plan. Yes the music industry isn’t always kind. I’m quite happy for L to keep it lowkey & fun. Fanfic stuff sounds excellent. What stuff is she into?
I too like variety & listen to R3 mostly. I loved going the proms in the summer, & am looking forward to going to see Electric Callboy with daughter next month. Jonathan would absolutely hate it! 🀣
I did a quick google search h - there are several. Some connected to grown up orchestras like the CBSO.
Amazing! Daughter sings but is dyspraxic so instruments are a challenge. She did well at theory though & composes by sampling sounds & using various apps. It’s totally beyond me.
I wonder how many are still going? I don’t think years of austerity have been kind to state provision for the arts in schools.
Keyhole surgery through my side either to zap it into little bits or if it’s too big for that to remove it.
It’s getting better - we’ve got some younger members recently & we have a new director so maybe he’ll attract a new membership. We did have a couple of lady tenors in the past but not at the moment. The tenors are good but a bit thin on the ground. What’s new!
Ah shame. I played oboe in the East Notts Youth Orchestra. What a great education these organisations provided.
Yeah. It was pretty sore int he summer but seems to have calmed down a bit now. I think it’s because it’s grown so less inclined to move around, but it needs to come out!
🀣🀣🀣. It’s funny a lot of really musical people can’t hit the right note. Jonathan was also a musical snob. He couldn’t see the point of any pop or rock music which drove me nuts. He was really academic in his understanding of music as well, but he sounded like a walrus.
