Key messages:

1️⃣ Early identification and referral of patients with CKD through appropriate screening and timely specialist engagement is crucial.

2️⃣ Coordinated, team-based CKD care can improve education, navigation, surveillance, and management—supporting better transplant access.

Next, we’re excited to incorporate US data into our analysis to help evaluate whether current policies and system settings are optimally supporting equitable access to kidney transplantation—especially in Australia.
Our key findings:
1) UK Patients on KRT are waitlisted more frequently and more quickly than Australia.
2) A higher proportion of UK KRT patients receive a transplant
3) Predictors of waitlisting are similar between UK/Aus
4) However, overall KRT mortality is higher in the UK than in Australia.
Thank you to #ERA25 for the opportunity to present work on kidney transplant waitlisting
