Obviously he tucked this borrowed shirt into his thong in his haste while getting dressed.
Guess it's time to figure out what's going in here....
Not me getting emotional over the prospect of being able to continue my NaNo tradition in the new "NaNoWriMo is dead, long live NaNoWriMo" era🥹
It's here! #NaNoWriMo starts today! And what better way to kick off the month than with a personal note from the original creator of the challenge himself?
I guess I don't understand what it is you want him to do. I've heard him address the shitty stupid things he's said, I've heard him apologize for his ignorance, and I've heard him talk about how his views are different now that he knows better. What else is there for him to do?
But is it actually disturbing that the non-service member isn't offering their view on sexual assault in the military? Because when I'm sitting next to my spouse, and someone asks me a Service related question, I don't expect or want him to answer.
Alex, someone mentioned that it mostly affects the Discover feed for a user, and I was wondering how Bluesky is ensuring that this doesn't become like a Meta echo chamber. Just because I dislike something doesn't mean I should never see it again. Sometimes I need to be confronted with my own bias.
That's a good point about people with large follower counts; I hadn't really thought about their use case, since I'm not in that camp and I mostly interact with other small fry lol
Does knowing more people disagree with your post without knowing which part they're disagreeing with or why add to your social experience in some way?
So I think I see what you're saying, but my point is that this doesn't mean there are fewer comments because of the ability to vote like or dislike. It just means there is a low effort engagement option for lurkers. The commenters still comment.
I mean, that sounds insightful if we're talking about marketing and building brands and stuff, but seems kind of at odds with the "have online conversations that are more like IRL ones." I will admit that I had a knee-jerk reaction to more metrics to obsess over, because I am prone to obsessing :\
I would like to know what you mean by implementing correctly, though! Have you seen a downvote/dislike system that added value to online conversations out and about? Please tell me about it.
I'm not sure how it would reduce negative comments, as the kind of people who leave negative comments instead of just scrolling by would still be leaving comments. A lower effort way of disagreeing just lets more people disagree without affecting the people already willing to type out comments.
I don't see value in a "dislike" button, unless we're just engagement farming, since there's no way to tell why. At least with the "like" button, I can assume it's shorthand for "I want you to know that I agree but don't have anything meaningful to add."
I have heard the exact opposite from my local congregation; they are currently looking to put up donation boxes to help stock food pantries in the same way we did a feminine hygiene product drive during Menstruatin' With Satan and dropped them off at local Sober Houses and Homeless Shelters.
An additional five days training? For Level II proficiency?? 😂😂 That's like the training we got at BOLC-II which included the preface "this is for familiarization, your unit will complete this training when you arrive at your first duty station."
Leaked document. Yikes, things are about to get much worse. It looks like we’re on the verge of becoming a military state across the country. Step out of line, and the man come and take you away.
"Those who advocate for changing the name to honor a person solely because they happen to be named “Benning” ignore the values and character of Hal and Julie Moore as well as their courage, competency, and dedication to the nation and Army families."

Word cake fits in with the Two Cakes approach to fanfic, so there's that
If there is no where else to go, then people do not leave. You don't leave a cult, you don't leave an abusive partner, and you don't leave a violent supremacist group. It is critical that we allow people to do so, because we cannot murder our way to better race relations in this country.
Hate movements promise belonging, but deliver isolation. They cut you off from family & friends, from anyone who doesn't share the ideology. They build walls until you're trapped—alone with your anger & fear.

That loneliness? It's by design. But here's what we know: you don't have to stay there.
What are your thoughts on the cover up he got over the chest tattoo? I would argue that in this climate, he doesn't need to lie about his views; we literally put Nazis in the White House.
"We didn't have nearly as many sick kids!"

Yeah, because they were DEAD, dumbass.🤦🏻‍♀️Fewer kids in hospitals means more kids in graveyards.

Trump’s pro-apartheid pick made clear this regime wants a return to the heyday of Jim Crow in this country.

This nomination comes days after the regime urged MAGA justices on SCOTUS to destroy the Voting Rights Act.

What we fail to reckon with and repair from our past, we repeat.
So you should really watch this. Just 2 minutes. But a window into the truly radical nature of the people Trump is nominating.

When pressed today, the nominee to be Ambassador to South Africa refuses to oppose reinstituting laws to prevent black people from voting in America.

From yesterday: It’s already hard enough for working-class Texans to survive with their full paychecks; 42 percent of Texas households face financial instability. The state still follows the federal minimum wage, which has remained at $7.25 an hour since 2009.
Texas Can’t Keep Up with Surge in Workers’ Wage Theft Complaints
State labor investigators struggle to process more and more paycheck complaints, with millions of dollars in workers’ pay at stake.
