Literally not a single one of the No Kings-related lists I’ve seen mentions trans rights. Society’s collective ability to look past the erasure of an entire demographic
is really staggering. The plight (and fight) of trans people is symbolic of No Kings. I wish people understood intersectionality.

The other my (Swiftie) teenager said he thinks there’s two kinds of people who don’t like Taylor: the ones who say she’s not their preference so they don’t listen to her, and the others who memorize every single lyric and piece of lore about her so they can criticize it all in excruciating detail.

A post has been going around about signage inspo for the upcoming No Kings protest and there isn’t a word on it re trans rights. This is the kind of thing that makes it feel as if trans people are utterly on our own. Where is the outrage? Where is the recognition of what is happening to us?

Other states have passed nearly identical stockpiling bills with no skyrocketing costs, the concern he cited. He just protected insurance companies over queer people at one of our most vulnerable times in history. Absolutely fuck him.

Newsom waited until the 11th hour to veto two LGBTQ bills that have been on his desk for almost a month: SB 418 & AB 554. One would have allowed HRT stockpiling, the other expanded PrEP access and protections. Newsom made his legacy on the backs of queer people and this is how he meets this moment?
