Short comic about my Baldur's Gate character, Rylon, practicing monk techniques in a river. He acts as if he is going to attack a squirrel nearby but boops it on the nose. The squirrel attacks him.
Shadowheart holds in a laugh and Halsin grins while Lae'zel looks on in disgust. "He brings shame to our people."
Halsin wildshapes into a squirrel and bounces off of Lae'zel's head. Shadowheart bursts into laughter. Halsin and the other squirrel climb around Rylon like a tree while he laughs.

A short comic about my Baldur's Gate githyanki monk character, Rylon, interacting with his Dream Guardian.
Rylon stabs the guardian: "My Queen ordered your death. I must obey."
Guardian: "Haa... I really thought you wouldn't."
Guardian disappears in a flash and reappears behind Rylon: "Remember that I am the one keeping you from turning into a mindflayer."
Rylon: "Ahem. Regardless, your survival depends on me as well."
Rylon: "What would you do - replace me?"
Guardian: "At this rate, perhaps."
Rylon recalls his six infected companions and that the guardian could very well just kill him and use one of them.

fiction is a safe space to think of unsafe things

if you feel it's messing you up, step away. don't assume it's messing everyone up and you need to eradicate it because you caught a case of the feel-bads from something. go sit with that and think about why instead of pissing in everyone else's cheerios.

Usually about 3 days for me.
Day 1: thumbnails and sketches
Day 2: transfer sketch to watercolor paper, mask off whatever needs it, paint background.
Day 3: paint figure and add final details.
This is usually split up into 3-5 hour chunks over a week

After my dad died I’d skip class, grades dropped, detentions stacked, etc. I still drew but I didn’t care about anything. The principal called me into her office one day, figured I messed up again, but she just handed me a box of colored pencils and said “happy birthday”. NEVER forgot that.

I remember transferring schools in kindergarten and not being told the new one even gave homework. The first week I missed out on the reward candy for that. It's been 25 years and I'm still bitter

I don't. Because I don't know the difference. All your mistakes are purposeful style choices to me. All your weaknesses quirks of your personality.
