Stylistically this reminds me quite a bit of how old 90s shojo manga would depict talking animals / mascots. With the big shojo eyes.
Not to say I assume you took inspiration from that though. Just that I love it there, and love it here 💯

I like the human and talking animal pair as protagonists of a comic, that’s actually sadly really rare to find nowadays (most stories are just a world of only talking animals, or a world of only humans).
It used to be way more common to see the human + non human protagonist duo in 80s and 90s anime
