Oh, I know that feeling. Gentle hugs.
I'm so sorry. It's so hard when our pets have to leave us.
Autumn is definitely here and it's getting cold at night - freezing or near. Still some lovely color to be found in the woods.
That's a good thing. Thinking of you as you deal with specialists and scary mysteries.
That's working up nicely! Hope everything is OK with you - waiting rooms are never fun.
I had some years ago and they were designed to filter out extraneous noises so speech and voices could be heard more clearly. Cheap-o ear plugs worked better, as long as they don't filter out alarms and such.
Thank you! Exciting baseball provides incentives.
Apparently it varies, depending on the depth on the material. Friends in CA live right on top of the Hayward fault (there's a sensor in their yard) and it was interesting. We lived a mile away and about 1/4 mile east of the fault; sometimes we'd feel one they didn't, and vice versa.
I've never felt less than a 4.1, and that was because I was leaning against a fence - the fence sort of vibrated.
And sleeve 1 is off the needles, with 1 out to go!
2 more rows and the 1st sleeve will be finished! Thanks to 18 innings last night and 7 exciting innings so far tonight. Taking a short break to rest and massage my sore paws before knitting a little more. 🧶Color is a rich cinnamon, not the washed out tan I'm seeing in the photo. #ShowMeYourKnits

A family friend's adult son is on the spectrum and we first met him about 7 years ago (I'd met infant him, but he doesn't remember). He confused both families at his dad's funeral by introducing us as aunt and uncle, and finally explained that I'd known his parents for 40+ years, when they dated.
Time to sleep. Not the outcome I wanted, but what a game!
Had to stop knitting after the 13th inning because my hands were getting sore! OTOH I almost finished a sweater sleeve.
SO and I are texting about the World Series game from our respective suites like the nerds we are.
Watching the World Series and knitting - wow! Supervised housekeeper and yard dude this morning, then had a stitch and bitch session with a weaver. I knit 6 rows on a sleeve while she wove a complete guitar strap! It was fun getting to know a new friend better, and she has a very cool cat.
Made my first ever kale salad tonight. I've refused to deal with a vegetable that requires a massage to be edible but a friend gave us a bunch from his garden and SO requested it. Surprised the heck out of me - it was good, and it was easy! I'm still jealous it got a massage and I didn't though.
All lovely, but I love faults and their fireworks!
Can't believe the weekend is over already. Spent lots of $$ getting overgrown rhododendrons and lots of bittersweet trimmed/removed, helped a friend figure out knitting instructions while our SOs unloaded and checked out a wood chipper they found in NY. Would have a finished sleeve, can't find yarn!
I did too until I was served tea with milk in London. No choice unless I went to the back of the line and I learned to prefer it.
Tacky khakis weren't ever a good look for high tech trade shows; not sure who decided they'd be a good look as part of a football uniform, or why.
I drink my tea with honey or maple syrup and half and half, coffee with half and half, so there's not much caloric difference. I just have to be in a certain mood to enjoy coffee. SO doesn't drink either, so I have no incentive to make a pot of coffee.
We don't make coffee often - it's been 6 weeks since I made a cup! I have a Keurig in my home office for the rare cup of coffee. I drink much more tea, hence the electric kettles on both floors. Love cotton and linen towels, many from world market and some artists who design them.
