Today's PBE City Connect is for the first Canadian team and original team in the league, the Vancouver Vandals. The theme here is potentially the easiest to see. That being a send up of the NHLs Vancouver Canucks, specifically their Spaghetti Skate era.

The subject of the PBE City Connect project today is the Buffalo Surge. The name actually fits with the theme connecting to the city because I went with electricity. Because Buffalo was the first city to have widespread electric powered street lights due to hydroelectricity from Niagara Falls.

The PBE City Connect uniform for today is for the Detroit Demons. For their particular theme, I went with a less known part of Detroit's famous car culture: the custom Hot Rod shows and meet ups in the streets.

Today, the City Connect uniform is for the PBEs New Orleans Rougarous. This is a pretty simple and self explanatory theme. It's Mardi Gras! Woo!

The City Connect PBE series continues with the Death Valley Scorpions. Now, because Death Valley isn't a real CITY, it's a bit tough to come up with a theme but the Tatooine scenes from Star Wars: Episode IV WERE shot at Death Valley National Park so I went with that.

Today in the City Connect series, we go international for the first time with the Cancun Toros. Now, the Toros already have a strong connection to their city's roots. But what about BEFORE they were a city? The theme of this uniform is the nearby ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza.

Today's City Connect uniform for the PBE is for the Indianapolis Apex. The theme here is in the proud racing history in Indianapolis. But not on the track itself, that's their regular identity. No, this is for their horse racing pedigree.

Today, our City Connect team of focus is the New York Voyagers. Their City Connect theme is based on the New York skyline and Statue of Liberty.

Tonight, we have the Nashville Stars and their City Connect uniforms, themed around the common nickname of the town, Music City. Per the request of the team, the hat logo is of country legend Dolly Parton!

Today, it's a now technically defunct team in the PBE, the Sarasota Supernovas. For their City Connect, I went with something that's a little bit of a cheat. It's a throwback to their first identity before they changed, the Florida Space Rangers. Nowadays, they're the Space Rangers again.

Tonight, we have the City Connect for the Providence Crabs. The connection here is to the LGBTQ+ community because Providence, Rhode Island is one of the top friendliest places for LGBTQ+ people in the entire United States.

Starting off, we have the Outer Banks Aviators. Their theme is based on the reputation the Outer Banks got many years ago as a pirate haven and popular spot to store treasure. It was even rumored that Blackbeard himself had a secret hideout on one of the islands! Hence his inclusion on the hat. #pbe

Been a bit but work and the start and completion of a new project has kept me busy. But now, the next series of posts are here. The PBE's own version of the City Connect program from Nike. I figured the idea was neat so I could try it too. First post coming today and more to follow.
