And she and I aren't talking about art in the formal sense, such as drawing or writing (though that is included). But art that inspires your joy and imagination. Making video games, making meals, singing, dancing, making pupppet shows, colorings, sewing, collage, scrapbooking. Art is human.

It's getting tougher here in the US.
Wondering if I should continue just making art.
Not wonder if any of the art matters, but seeing it matter less compare to more 'actionable' things.
But after watching this, I realized that art heals.
We need to see art they don't want us to see.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
