Hey, I'm Katie!

I'm multiply ND, queer and permanantly knackered.

I'm a community researcher on cancer service experiences of marginalised people.

I've published things and conferenced things, and now I'm doing a PhD around Autistic trans+ people's experiences of health and social care.

Thanks. These things just seem to take longer and longer these days, but we'll get there.

Hahaha she had the gravedigger say "alright mush" in the Portsmouth one (very Portsmouth phrase!). You wont see the same thing twice.

The school sickness has finally made its way to us. It's Little Man's first year of school, and we have finally got a school sickness.

A 24-hour bug doesn't mean 24 hours in a #ChronicallyIll household.

Our evenings have been filled with wrestling, Boulders Gate, and feeling sorry for ourselves.
A split screen of Boulder's Gate 3. There are lots of stats on the screen. The left hand side focuses on a a druid which has turned to a Owl Bear. The right hand side shows a half orc cleric wielding a great axe

Oh, all the dates are sold out, apart from Bexhill. They have wait lists though.

Fab! It was really something. I especially liked the scenes with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. And the grave digger scene. I loved all of it.

We saw Suzy Izzard in her one person Hamlet, and she was phenomenal!

Today is the anniversary of my website Autistic and Living the Dream. I share information and personal experiences of neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ identities, cancer care, research, and so much more.

Here is my most read piece, just in case you missed it!

What comes under the “Neurodivergent” umbrella?
In short, probably more than most of us think! Kassiane Asasumasu, coined the term neurodivergent in the late 1990s / early 2000s, stating that the term included those “Whose neurocognitive f…

You can't be sad listening to The Aquabats.

If all the bots that kept emailing me about how shit my website is *actually* visited my website, my stats would be brilliant 😎

Tell me you have a four year old without telling me you have a four year old...

Picture shows me wearing a white Autistic and Living the Dream t shirt covered in animal stickers: a crocodile, elephant, walrus, zebra, monkey, polar bear, and a killer whale. All the classics.

#HealthyConversationSkills is about creating spaces in our everyday practice (and lives!) to talk about what makes us happier and healthier. This also appreciates that there are barriers to happier, healthier lives for too many people.

I am keeping my weekends free of work, and that's been really beneficial. More time with my boys :)

If you can't rest, then you might as well get paid!
kmunday.bsky.social
You've been very busy! Great work but make sure to rest too

I started Crip Kinship by Shayda Kafai today. It's been on my shelf for a while.

I'm twenty pages in already and seriously thought about taking it to soft play 😆
