When communities in Veracruz told WCK that they usually celebrate Día de Muertos at home, we knew exactly what to do. Our #ChefsForMexico teams spent all week preparing 10,000 Día de Muertos kits that include traditional holiday items like pan de muerto to help flood-impacted families celebrate.

I found this post by searching for “sad Trump.”

The U.S. Army has my greatest respect and gratitude. I have friends and family who served.

That said, I’m glad the parade was sad.

As another post I read said, “never underestimate the Army’s ability to do something it doesn’t want to do, poorly.”

Border Patrol is continuing raids on farm workers in Ventura County, especially Moorpark and Oxnard.

Agents are circling like sharks. Farm workers in areas with heightened activity should check in on each other and take steps to stay safe. Report what you see to us.

If that’s what they do to a US Senator with a question, imagine what they do to farm workers, day laborers, cooks, and the other nonviolent immigrants they are targeting in California and across the country. Or any American that dares to speak up.

Monday is Memorial Day, and it’s a day set aside for the remembrance of those who have died in battle, not a happy holiday or a veterans holiday.

I want to point out it is another thing white people claim credit for though it originated with the black community as Decoration Day.
