Now Watching: Friday the 13th - Part 2/In a Violent Nature

Going for a double feature tonight! and potential hot take? I think In A Violent Nature is a better Jason movie than Friday Part 2 #Letterboxd #movie #film #physicalmedia
Cinematic Spooknanigans 2025 - Day 15:
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)

A game changer for the horror genre, setting the bar high enough that very few have managed to reach. Inspiring many imitators, this original is grimy, disturbing, and wonderful
A ★★★★½ review of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Though I personally disagree and say that inspiration and imitation are not the same, it could be argued that there is one horror movie that ...

Spooknanigans 2025 - Day 14:
Halloween II (2009)

While some points are to be given for Zombie trying something unique for the franchise, he ultimately does not understand the character or how to make a good movie #Halloween #Letterboxd
A ★★ review of Halloween II (2009)
A trend I have begun to notice over the past two years as I revisit more and more films I had not seen in quite some time, is the realization that my tastes in movies as a teenager and now as someone ...

Now Watching: Dr. Strangelove

Rounding out a week of my favorite movies for the birthday week with one of my all time favorites period that gets just a little more scary the more realistic it gets in our current environment. #film #movie #letterboxd #physicalmedia #drstrangelove
Thank you! And don't worry, my back actually didn't go out. The original post, which was on facebook, had an addendum saying "to stop my phone from blowing up, this is a joke MOM" because my mom has a habit of stalking my profile lol
Me at 8:58am, October 15th 2025: Alright it's going to be a good day, a good birthday, I'm about to be 34 years old, I'm spending my day with Penny and my girls, watching my favorite movies and...

Clock hits 8:59am, officially marking me 34: -back goes out-

Halloween (2018)
Dir. David Gordon Green
My last relationship was very Fester and Debbie but not fun lmao
Instead of giving in to the voice, I drove 30 minutes out of my way to the second-hand bookstore I frequent for my movie thrift shopping. Went in, no organized list like normal, and walked out with some personal childhood/teen favorites. $30 going to that instead of binging. That's a win to me (8/8)
(TW:ED)The little voice saying to go to Kroger. Get mynormal Crash Out Depression Meal. And hate myself later as you purge.

I turn 35 on Wed, and I've been meaning to make changes to my health. Something I've not followed through on before. This time is vital as even the doctor says I need to (7/)
Then something every Atlantian has experienced happened. I took the wrong exit. In a second, ETA jumped from 12:20 to 12:45. And I literally felt the crashout hit. Straight into the Twin Towers. I knew immediately I had to go home. I had to decompress. Breath. Then that little voice spoke up (6/)
I was doing some of my best driving, tbh. Years of driving professionally means when time is against me, I will pull some smooth ass driving. I was still going to be late, but hopefully not too much. The parade didn't start till 12:30. ETA was 12:20. (5/)
I was doing my eyeliner for Pride this morning. And my left eye was being stubborn, as it is apt to due. And I found my temper slipping. Yelling at nothing. Feeling a burn out crash approaching. Took a deep breath, got it done. It looked damn good. Rushed out the door as I was running 15 late. (4/)
I'm not sure how I did on the exam. I won't know for a month. And, honestly, I do not care. Pass or fail, I still have other sections to take. And I already decided to take a break, not taking the next part till next summer. So I have time to relax and live life a bit, with a little studying. (3/)
I was supposed to be a part of Atlanta Pride today with my firm. I was looking forward to it. But also yesterday was my 3rd attempt at the CPA exam. And most of last week I was studying. Initially slow and steady, which was working. But time was running out and I started to spiral. (2/)
Long post incoming. TW: Eating Disorders.

Often, the strongest trigger for my binge-eating is stress and anxiety. Usually when something in my "schedule" goes wrong. I go to the store, spend $25-$30 are various junk food and eat/purge. Part of why my weight fluctuates as much as it does (1/)
Second half drops weekly starting on February. Maybe March. Same results. And maybe tweek a few post production thing sonstead.lf waiting 24601 years between seasons like a total daft wanker
But if the Duffer Fuckers or whoever had any sense, they would spread it out. One hour episodes. 14 episodes. Or even 12

6 episodes weekly mid October through start of December. Long mid season finale. Get people hyped. Talking. Like with Peacemaker (2/)
I did the math. Full length, the season is 14 episodes long. Allocated across 8 episodes. Dropped like a sack of unwanted dog shit on the same day.

People will binge. And spend two or three weeks talking about it. Others will bite out of pressure to not feel left out (1/)
Having a partner that fully supports you? Encourages you? Makes sure you take care of yourself first and foremost over all else?

Wonderful. Especially when the last partner was none of that

Having a partner with two lovable (if not chaotic) girls who have unlocked your full Step-Dad mode? BONUS
I'll take a country halftime show.

Dolly
Willie
Johnny (after some necromancy is worked)
Alan? I haven't listened to Jackson since I dipped my toe into country back in 2003 so I'm not sure
