A photograph of Couch’s Staircase in Watkins Glen State Park, New York USA. The image was edited to simulate the look of Kodak infrared slide film. I am experimenting with editing some of my digital images in an attempt to emulate the look of false-color infrared slide film. Kodak Aerochrome, and Ektachrome Infrared EIR films produced surreal landscape images with foliage appearing pink, or red, instead of the normal green color one would expect. These long discontinued film stocks are almost impossible to find these days, and they are incredibly expensive if they do turn up. Digital editing seems to be the most affordable way I can create Aerochrome type images like this one.

A photograph of two small red barns that were abandoned many years ago after the farmhouse burned down. The house was never rebuilt, and all of the surrounding farm buildings were left to their fate of inevitable destruction. Nature is slowly reclaiming the land.

This handheld photograph of the sun was created on February 3, 2021 at 3:53pm EST. The resulting image shows surface granulation, but there were no sunspots on this day. I used a high quality thread-on white light solar filter from Thousand Oaks Optical to safely photograph the sun.
