Plush Hearts
I wanted to make a gift for my parents' anniversary and I found this link for plush hearts (see link below). I made one in purple for my mother, her favourite colour, but why stop there? I made another for my aunt for her birthday, then I made a pink one for my grandmother for her birthday. That left one more aunt on my mother's side, so what did I give her for her birthday?

Little Bunny Comforter
While I was proud of the bunny comforter I had already made, it was quite large and time consuming. I came across this pattern on facebook (See below for the link) and had saved it for a later date. The later date came up pretty soon! Two of my wonderful friends from work were expecting grandchildren so I made them one each. The smaller pattern was faster, and I also believe it is a more suitable size for a baby. Link to free pattern

Floral Headband
My daughter had a scraggly headband that had definitely seen better days so I decided to give it a makeover! I crocheted around the headband to make it green and to give me stitches to work with. Then I made simple flowers and leaves, attaching them to a crochet chain.

Wonder Woman
After making Superman and Supergirl, it was suggested that I make a Wonder Woman. I looked up different pictures and just gave it my best shot. I was pretty excited when I came across the cheap silver yarn at the shop! I had been thinking I'd need to use grey. The entire work was trial and error and making it up as I go along, using some of the same techniques as I used for the other two doll costumes, but also adding in other details, like the star stitching.

Bookmark with bead
When exploring a new craft, you find things you like and things you don't like. I was not as fond of this bookmark as the others, probably because the result was a bit floppy and I didn't feel as though it looked right. It found a good home though, as all the other bookmarks did too. I offered them around at work and several people wanted one.

Fan bookmark
By this point, I was on a roll. I started searching up other bookmark patterns to see what else I could do. I came across this one (link to free pattern below) and I found it to be an easy pattern to follow. It worked well with my grandma's thinner yarn and I was quite happy with the results. It was easier than the others because there was no sewing and it was all just in the one colour, but there were more steps to follow. Link to free pattern download
