I lived on Treasure Island in San Francisco for nearly a decade and I MISS just leaving my window open and hearing the fog horns all summer.

I usually just don't like when people try and recreate a style without giving any of their personal thought or choices into it. They never understand why choices were made with exact duplication, so the art feels so flat.

I love animals, and I'd give a kidney to spend a day in a fantasy world where I could ethically hug hippos and lions and tigers and have a bear bff. Instead, we live in a world where too many people have forgotten why stories used to end with the protagonist dying as a warning.

Not enough people grew up with stories about animals killing people and think of them through Disney distilled lenses.

My mom loves/hates to bring up the story about a child who fell into a painted dog habitat.

Anyone who knows how they hunt can guess why that story has no further details.

Doing my best. I keep reminding myself I had far more tragedy than a human is usually used to going through, so it tracks that some days I'm still hardly more than durable than Swiss cheese.
