We buried my granny in Five Points, Alabama. (Google it. She was the first Black mayor). We got an Airbnb in Roanoke, Al. It was a plantation. 😭😭😭

One time I stayed at a hotel where I had to buy actually Clorox for the bathroom. And I went through the entire bottle. I was trying to kill everything in the room. Self included. 😭😭😭

My biggest decider is if I can walk in the room and feel like I don’t need to pull out my Clorox wipes. 😭 (but I still pull them out)

Hilton and Hyatt feel very trusted. Definitely Marriott. But I usually go for proximity to the main destination address + a certain base level quality. Love a unique spot.

I asked yall to see if I had a real preference. Im very much a Marriot and Hilton girl who loves a good boutique hotel, but Hyatt just stole my heart.

I can’t help but think today about how many young people were savaged on social media, branded as anti-semites and abandoned by their schools for daring to call for a ceasefire. I remember saying that it was the first time I can remember that calling for ceasefire was regarded as a hostile demand.

The trailblazing transgender rights activist Miss Major has passed away at the age of 78.

Miss Major was a lifelong organizer and participant in the ballroom scene. She took part in the 1969 Stonewall Riots and was injured by the police — but she kept fighting.
