it's also a weird feeling going from hanging with people who have known for me so long to being a complete blank slate.

this has its downsides but at least i'm not being held back and being perceived by stuff people remember me from the past. but instead by who i am right now.

i still struggle finding places to meet and hang with new people due to a few reasons (lack of trust in public discord servers, me not having one big niche or hobby to talk about, anxiety, etc) but the few times i've dm'd or been invited to gcs has been great.

the only real way to learn a new language is the way i did and that is being on internet forums since i was 10 and watch yt vids on that language until you can vaguely parse what they're saying
