Somewhat belated #PortfolioDay

Hi, I am Valentine, a digital artist mostly producing tabletop and horror art. You can find personal (darker-) projects, KULT: Divinity Lost, Vampire: the Masquerade, Vaesen, Morrowind, and many more illustrations here.

Will be adding my favourite works here.

Oh, you're right, I forgot to turn them on after spammer attacks. Should be fixed now!

My wife does amazing stained glass art. Me? I just sort of thought "cubism" one day, and started sketching it.
kevintheradioguy.bsky.social
Thank you! It's very fun to make.

Another fun fact: he has ridiculously high, teen-like voice. All the while being about the size of an elephant.

Fun fact: Zoltan was supposed to be an NPC for Dungeons and Dragons game back in the day when I GMed it. I never specified his actual origin or species, but I was thinking "giantfolk tiefling" when I made him.

He grew on me, though. Took him in. Want to draw thirsty stuff with the big man.

Sure thing! You can DM me here or on Discord (both are best ways to contact me) with any reference and details.

And finally, a monster character of mine, Zoltan, sometimes called "swamp witch". He is big, quiet, grumpy, but not unkind healer to those who dare go into the cold marshes of his.

#art #digitalart #cubism #monster #creature #украрт
A cubist depiction of a monstrous creature with demon-like appearance. The creature has a wide, snarling mouth filled with long, white, triangular teeth. Three glowing green eyes are visible. Its mane consists of jagged, layered quills. Green light and misty shapes surround the creature. The background is dark teal and green.

I also did a woof. This is Noah, my old himbo pupper, and he's a happy pack animal.

#art #digitalart #cubism #anthro #wolf #canine #украрт
A cubist portrait of a humanoid wolf. The wolf has a joyful expression - eyes closed, mouth open in a wide smile, and tongue sticking out. He wears a light green shirt patterned with stars, with a folded collar. The background is divided into textured rectangles of dark green, brown, and orange tones.

Another tabletop character of mine, Jon. He's much nicer than he looks on this image.

A cubist-style portrait of a man with angular features. His face and clothing are composed of intersecting shapes in shades of blue, and brown, outlined in dark lines. He wears a wide-brimmed hat. His long, pale hair falls past his shoulders. One of his eyes glows bright red. The background is dark teal with vertical divisions.

My rent has been bumped up, and it just so happens that I want to do more in this kind of style.

Reposts appreciated!

Small jote: unless there are artificial ways to lower temperature. Heating things up in a smithy to 1000+ C is obvious but I know very little about being able to lower it in a somewhat similar way.

Probably not in prehistory, no, though it would give fur a permanent white, since it damages hair follicles not to be able to store melanin. It has to be from -80 to -200 Celsius, so it should be done in more advanced times.

Or ice brands? (sorry for throwing myself into the conversation)

#timelapse

For those curious about sketching over the reference, this is the way I break basic shapes and motion lines before applying them to my sketch. It has come really in handy, and I highly recommend using this, as it saves a lot of time: you will barely need to resketch - only polish.

Ramona, my VtM character in somewhat cubistic style.

Assume things about her!

I am thinking about opening cheap portrait commissions in this style, anyone would be interested?
Geometric portrait of a woman rendered in a cubist-inspired art style. Her face and body are built from flat, angular planes of colour outlined by dark lines. She has brown hair arranged neatly and wears a dark dress with a string of large, round pearls around her neck, and matching earrings. Diagonal bands of yellow light cross her face and shoulder give the impression of light coming through blinds. The background consists of teal squares, creating a simple backdrop.

Admittedly, I might just be more comfortable posting timelapses with my usual style.

Small work in progress for a cubistic Ramona. I don't like how my sketches look, so I'm not sure if I should proceed with timelapsing the rest :c

and an illustration of 3 characters surrounded by an orange autumnal tree and graves. One character is a cat clown doll floating above the right shoulder of a large buff man with a beard and overalls, then floating over the man's other shoulder is a slightly transparent cowboy with green hair and heavy scars.

Does anyone here write? I'm curious, what's the first thing your main character(s) says in your story?

I also gotta browse through more @trueref.bsky.social because I need inspiration for artworks, as I'm in my static phase, and static is boring.
