I just watched the first episode of Kindred: The Embraced for the first time in almost 30 years.

Season 5: Assembling the TOS crew The pair of showrunners confirmed with THR that they have already broken down the six episodes planned for season 5, which should begin production by the end of this year. Akiva Goldsman has already indicated in his TrekMovie interview that they plan to end the series (in season 5) by showing James T. Kirk’s first day in command of the USS Enterprise. And the show already has much of Kirk’s crew cast, especially with the addition of Scotty (Martin Quinn) in season 3. There are still some key characters missing, including Dr. McCoy, Sulu, and Chekov (who didn’t show up until season 2 of TOS). In his TrekMovie interview, Goldsman noted he sees the start of TOS as β€œWhere No Man Has Gone Before.” He elaborated to THR how that impacts the way they will be introducing more members of Kirk’s crew:

Playing the Oblivion remaster and found the body of a depressed suicidal troll under a bridge. Genuinely felt crap for it, having been there myself. It was pretty tasteless 20yrs ago, felt more so now. I understand the desire to preserve the original, but removing that would have been a good move.

I just learned (a mere 8 months after it was announced) that there's going to be a new Lost in Random game coming out. This is excellent news! @lostinrandom.bsky.social was one of the best, if also shortest, gaming experiences I had last year. I bought art prints and everything.

I was a late-comer to appreciating Brennan Lee Mulligan. I'd only seen him on short clips of Dimension 20 and a couple of little things on Instagram and TikTok. I'll be honest, I didn't like him. But, having caught up with CR Downfall and given him a proper look, I'm happy to revise that opinion.

That last part is key though. If you've been dreading playing every week then you've done the right thing. It's not fair to force yourself to keep going, you'd only end up resenting a hobby that you love.

I bloody love @criticalrole.bsky.social. But how did nobody there look at this t-shirt design and immediately ask, "why does it look like Trump?"

The hair isn't even subtle, then there's the skin tone, the blue jacket, the hint of a red tie. You can't tell me that's just coincidence.
