Stunning! The colors and clarity. Beautiful shot, Mary.
Thanks, Mary. I hope you are enjoying September's gifts. 🕊️
September in New England is perhaps the most beautiful of all the months.

Today I meandered the seacoast farms of southeastern Massachusetts, and what a day it was. 🕊️

It is a gorgeous day on the coast south of Boston.

I found my way to a farm for organic veggies, meandered the quiet dirt roads on foot, and made a new friend.

This is Pumpkin, a 35yo Welsh pony, living his best senior years at Holly Hill Farm.

Oh my goodness, you're right! I see it. Wow. Great eye. Thanks for looking past the ordinary.
All is well, thank you. Not ready to let go of summer, so getting out for lots of walks in cemeteries, the park, and by the sea. I hope you are doing well and enjoying the good weather. 🕊️
Love this, Mary! The color is lovely. Great shot!
The squirrels at my local park are out in force munching on the seeds inside the helicopters falling from maple trees. Getting ready for the change of seasons.
In the early 80s, there was a cool novelty shop in Portsmouth called Ye Old Lion & The Lamb. It was owned and run by an older couple. Their chonky Siamese cat Victor was the resident feline. He was usually sleeping in his bed among the merchandise with sign next to him that said not to disturb! 😸
I grew up going to cemeteries on the regular with my family to visit the graves of elders that passed. It was an afternoon out of the house together. Not everyone will understand the draw to these places. It stirs emotions as you mentioned, and reminds us how precious our lives really are. 🕊️
Met this pup at the estuary while I was out for a walk. He’s quite the swimmer!

Since I was a wee girl, I’ve been walking in cemeteries. Sometimes I read the epitaphs out loud; I say their names and wonder what life was like in 1762 or 1845 or 1901.

August is my favorite month. It’s when I reflect on the months behind me, and what is yet to come. I make my resolutions and embrace every ephemeral bit of summer, in case it is my last.

I happened upon this little painted stone while walking at the cemetery.

Don’t waste your short time on this planet living a life filled with hate and rage.

Put love at the center and see what happens. 🕊️

Strolling the historic towns of coastal New England; so many stories to tell.

It was 90F (32c) along the southeast coast of Massachusetts today.

I walked at an old cemetery with lots of big shade trees, and beautiful gravestones from the past 350+ years. Old souls. 🕊️
