Bolson tortoise release at Armendaris Ranch last week. These tortoises are part of an experimental population to reintroduce this endangered species to New Mexico. My colleague Abby Lawson’s graduate student, Heather Zimba, is tracking movement & survival of these animals. 🐢🌎
