The vision for the human goal must be movement through the Universe, assistance, and service to the Good. This is morally superior even to the most “philanthropic” scenarios of transhumanism.

It must integrate three powerful, interacting layers:
— A meaningful existential human goal,
— Crucial conditions of moral and genetic purity, and
— A possible synthesis of advanced technology as a tool for purification.

The “PATH” toward the future of our species, then, must lie somewhere within a profoundly moving and philosophically grounded journey. It should not be merely a stance on transhumanism, but a comprehensive moral and spiritual vision for human evolution.

Therefore, this view could perhaps serve as a guiding principle: “Technological transcendence must be accompanied by corresponding moral maturation.”

The challenge for the coming decades will be to find ways to implement this without violating freedoms and rights.

At the same time, the conditions that are set — moral purity before the attainment of “immortality” — are fertile but extremely difficult to apply without creating new inequalities or abuses.

Perhaps, then, technology is not an end in itself, but a means to become better and to serve the good. I suppose this is one of the healthiest and most responsible forms of transhumanist thought.

But can “purification” ever be complete or measurable? Who would be the institutional body to judge this without turning into a form of authoritarianism? What about the human capacity for change? If someone doesn’t meet the criteria at first but later repents?

Moreover, it should be accessible to everyone — once they have reached this state of “purity” — attempting to combine equality with responsibility. It’s an interesting balance between freedom/right of access (no one excluded for class reasons) and moral precondition (protection from malicious use).

We essentially need to “bind” them tightly: no superpower without inner cultivation. Although difficult in practice, this is precisely the kind of restraint many ethicists consider necessary to prevent catastrophe (see discussions on “preventive ethics” in artificial intelligence).

if immortality is a technological good, establishing a “moral test” carries the risk of arbitrary or even oppressive power. History shows that technological power and moral maturity do not always evolve together.

This raises the classic question:
Who defines who is “pure”? How can something as complex as human psychology and will be measured? In contemporary philosophy of technology, this is often referred to as the problem of criteria and justice:

The moral prerequisite of "purity"
The position that access to “immortality” or superpowers must presuppose an inner moral purity: it resembles the idea of “virtue ethics,” as well as mystical traditions where “theosis” requires purification.
kaviros1970.bsky.social
It connects with ancient traditions (e.g. the Platonic idea of theosis, the Christian concept of being made “in the likeness” of God, as well as the cosmic visions of scientists like Carl Sagan).

The notion that humanity could extend its lifespan, travel through space, and evolve into a “higher being” that acts for the good is one of the most optimistic interpretations of transhumanism.
kaviros1970.bsky.social
This idea touches upon some of the deepest philosophical questions already being discussed in relation to transhumanism.

For example, a serial killer or a professional thief cannot be the recipient of such gifts (immortality and the ability to control matter).
kaviros1970.bsky.social
This should be accessible to all people and compatible with them. However, this is only for those who, before accepting immortality and knowledge, are pure from any "latent" and distorted genetic, biological, or psychological elements within themselves.
kaviros1970.bsky.social
However, the ultimate goal is for humans to be able to move within the universe or across universes, always doing what is good, pure, and right, and helping wherever and whenever needed, as a supreme entity.

All this development that will occur in technologies, medicines, medical methods, new materials, new policies, new therapies, life extension, anti-aging, and anything else that might emerge, will ultimately allow humans to live longer and, eventually, possibly live indefinitely.

The information shared with the global population is already a step in this direction.
