I'm planning on moving to actual artist's tape when I get through the washi tape I bought. Water does get under it!

I will try it! In the Gouache subreddit, the advice was to use a hair dryer on the piece for a minute before removal, and to go very slow. It worked, but I'm not always going to have access to a hair dryer!

Confession: I get very sheepish in the art supply store.

Whenever I buy art supplies, I feel like a pretender of some sort. I'm cosplaying as someone who knows what they're doing.

I'm just feeling my way through this on my own, using reference paintings and the occasional YouTube lesson.

Still copying others' simple works as I learn how to paint. Liked this idea, though, and I'm learning how to do fine lines with the rigger.
