Seniors appreciate their past, the small things we had. We enjoy nature without a phone on. We prefer to talk than text.
Yet, being older, doctors pass you by for surgery, ignore your needs, have only ten minutes for you, young people aren't into our knowledge.

Most of you are only 20 years old. You only know technology and today's music, not the vietnam war, or nixon resigning, kennedy's murder, and many past events and things.
You go in nature or have dinner, and you look at your cell phone all the time without enjoying the moment.

Most of you never had a black and white tv.
A phone attached to the wall. A phone recorder machine.
You never had a doctor make home visits or milk delivered at the door.
You only know modern technology. You use the internet to think for you. You're attached to your gadgets.

Most of you never lived through many presidents.
Most of you didn't live through the polio epidemic.

I thought it was a sad time when I lost my father. I mourned for a few years. Then, ten years later mom died and I became a homeless child without parents. Yes, right at the heart chakra.
A slow sadness prevails and stays hidden in the background.
Yet, it's always there within.
