Why don't you take a stab at writing it?

“…earthquake scientists suggest that the two faults could have an intertwined fate. Their paper suggests that Cascadia earthquakes of the recent geological past have triggered earthquakes along the San Andreas fault too.”

Yesterday I got to go see a performance of Oregon Ballet Theatre’s DRACULA - along with @camikaos.bsky.social & @semaphoria.bsky.social - and
it was lovely and gothic and #highlyrecommend

The characters of Dracula and his bride, Flora. Dracula stands behind Flora with his arms holding Flora’s arms open, the shades of pink and purple showing in the under part of his cape. Flora is on point with one leg extended and wearing a draping short sleeve white effervescent gown. They are both very pale, which makes sense since they are, technically dead, though immortal.

The US federal attack on Portland has resulted in the best advertisement for a city that I have ever seen. Round-the-clock joy, community solidarity and silliness that much of the West has lost and longs for.

oooh, this is a cool thing 🧐

oh wow, I didn’t know that.

I love reading a positive piece like this ✊ - by @luxalptraum.com

“…mifepristone… has removed at least some of the fear that’s long surrounded abortion safety, changing it from a procedure that should be “safe, legal, and rare” to one advocates proudly declare should be free and on demand.”
Mifepristone Reaches a Milestone Amid a Hostile Environment - Dame Magazine
Twenty-five years ago, as September 2000 drew to a close, the FDA made a controversial announcement: A French medication that had been developed in the 1980s, then called RU-486 but now more commonly ...

There's one huge difference between the 2025 Portland protests & the ones in 2020. Today, the ~100 anti-fascist protesters at the ICE facility are sandwiched between the feds who have MAGA-friendly media embedded w/ them, and ~15 MAGA-friendly content creators/counter-protesters out in the crowd.

As President Trump tries to send the National Guard to Portland, Oregon, conservative influencers are working to support his claim that the city is burning with viral clips from one block. https://wapo.st/4q5HM0n

See, now, that’s an ideal situation 😀

argh, I wish I had access to radio anncrs for these games. We’re so limited during playoff season when the major networks have all the broadcast rights - especially in our tv market 🙃.
katelovesmath.bsky.social
We always mute the commercials but yeah, it’s a dice-throw w those anncrs - especially now in playoffs when we can’t listen to local
anncrs nor have access to the radio peeps.
Before the MLB app was refined, during commercial breaks, they’d leave the mics hot and you could hear the crowd 😊
katelovesmath.bsky.social
no, announcer to thousands of people during this major league baseball game, you are wrong, the pitcher did not “strike out the side.”. He struck out two people and inbtw PCA flew out to center.
I hate broadcast sports announcers.

“…Polanco lashed the game-winner, through the right side off a Tommy Kahnle changeup, Crawford shimmied off third with a spin. It was over. Crawford, the longest-tenured Mariner, all but tiptoed his way to the plate, savoring a 90-foot yellow brick road to Toronto, where the ALCS begins on Sunday”

Playoffs so far are just dueling battles of deep offensive ineptitude
