I support the Sims Team and Maxis and my biggest hope for them is that they will find a better company to be their producer so they can continue to make the game without the umbrella of EA or what it will become if this sale goes through. They are victims in this as well.

I want to keep playing the Sims, but I don't want to promote a company that is being sold to a terrible buyer? I love my Sims content and I am still writing my own legacy challenge. Idk. As someone who actively plays 3 of EA's big titles, it puts me in a situation I don't like.

A lot of people play games with chacter customization and try to emulate themselves so they can go on epic adventures. I've never been able to do that. I would rather live vicariously through a character that is not me. I wonder if that's a self worth issue.
